When we deploy Reporting Services, the set of data processing extension are automatically installed and register on report authoring client as well as report server to provide verity of data source types.

Custom data processing extension and standard.NET data provider can be installed and register by System administrators manually. Data processing extensions and providers must be installed on report server as well as report authoring client to process and view the report.
