There are only three types of jobs that create wealth and are sustainable.
1. Jobs in agriculture.
2. Jobs in natural resources.
3. Jobs in manufacturing.
All other types of jobs either distribute the wealth or consume the wealth.
There will be no job growth in agriculture in the near future.
There will be no job growth in manufacturing. (Most of our factories are gone.)
The only area for job growth is in our own natural resources.
Jobs in oil and natural gas can be created immediately.
We need to drill off shore on the West Coast, the East Coast, the Gulf and Alaska.
We need natural gas pipelines running from the South to the North, from the West to the East.
These jobs would do simple things:
1. Lower the cost of a tank of gas.
2. Lower the cost to heat a home.
3. Lower our trade deficit. (Our wealth is being exported to the Middle East and China.)
4. Increase our secure. (The 1973 Oil Embargo was bad, the next on a disaster.)
Jobs created by the Stimulus are not sustainable and will end when the money runs out. Stimulus jobs, at the end of the day, give you a "Bridge To Nowhere".
Jobs in oil and natural gas, at the end of the day, give you barrels of oil and cubic feet of gas.
