Microsoft just announced Stream, an Azure based secure video streaming service for Office 365 users that allows you and your organization to upload, watch, and share videos. Stream also have options to comment, tag, and breakdown video portions.
You can add subtitles, captions, and permissions to videos, create channels, and groups. Some intelligent features include deep search, transcript model, and face detection within the videos.
Microsoft Stream provides a way to easily organize and find video content and works well with other Office 365 like Teams, Yammer, SharePoint, OneNote, and Sway.
Microsoft Stream is an Add-on option to Office 365 account and has two pricing plans. Plan 1 starts at $3 per user per month and includes the following features.
- Organize your company’s video content in a single destination.
- Securely upload and share your videos across the company.
- View and search videos across devices.
- Embed videos across your favorite applications.
- Manage with tools for IT administrators.
Plan 2 starts at $5 per user per month and includes the following:
- Everything in Plan 1, plus:
- Find more videos using deep search based on in-content signals like speech to text.
- Interact with video content in richer ways using face detection and audio transcripts.
