How To Create A Team In Teams Differently

Introduction

 

Teams is a very simple application used in many organizations. It has communication channels to collaborate with other employees or external users.

 

Let’s discover how we can create a team in Microsoft Teams application with multiple ways and what are the components involved while creating other ways.

 

Create a new team using Teams

1. You can create or join existing teams by searching the “Join or create a team” option in the left bottom corner of Teams software.
   
   
    
   
   
2. Join or Create a Team - Click on "Create a Team" or "Join Team" option below as per your requirements.
   
   

3. Create a team,
   
   

4. Choose an option as per your choice - Private or Public
   
   

5. Add members in Team: This will give you member access to your Team.
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. After completing this step, you will find your team has been created with the above choice (Public/Private).
   
   
   
   

Create a team using Office365 group

1. First Create Office O365 group,
   
   
   1. Sign in to the Azure Active Directory admin center as a global or user management admin.
   2. Go to Dashboard and find quick tasks in the right-top corner:
   3. Select the "Add a Group" option.
      
      
      
      
   4. Fill the required details to create new Office365 group as below.
      
      
      
      
   5. It will create an Office group with Office 365 Outlook email account and SharePoint Team site.
   6. Please note “Object ID” which is used for redirections (the last section mentions this).
      
      
      
      
      
   7. Click on SharePoint icon at the bottom
      
      
   8. It will redirect to your newly created SharePoint site - https://<yourTenentName>.sharepoint.com/sites/SampleUser2

2. Click on the “Create Team” option in the left bottom
   
   
   
   
3. After that, you will see Success! message and “Click here” link to go to your Teams.
   
   

4. It redirects you to the Microsoft Teams application.
5. In Redirect URL’s , you will see office 365 group ID mentioned which we have created earlier.
