In SharePoint 2010 to give access to a Particular Site or List\Library we used to give NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users in a people picker field so that every user from that organization or active directory will be able to see that site\List\Library.
So the Same thing is available in SharePoint 2013 But only in the case of SharePoint 2013 on Premises. In SharePoint 2013 on premises if a Site\List\Library need to be accessed by everyone from the organization then we can give NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users.
But in the Case of SharePoint 365 Online. If you try to give NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users in people picker to give access for all users, it will get resolved but it won’t work out. The Workaround/Solution for this issue is to give All Users (membership) / All Users (windows) instead of NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users.
- All Users (Windows) : User accounts from Federated domains
- All Users (membership): All user accounts from Office 365 Online Services.
